Terms of use

1. Provider and scope

ArvoSky is provided by Vincent Tristan Florian Wilhelm Tietze, c/o Online-Impressum 9448, Europaring 90, 53757 Sankt Augustin, Germany. Contact: quizel.support@protonmail.com. These terms describe the weather service and optional subscriptions.

Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement (EULA) governs the iOS app licence. These service terms supplement the service description and do not replace that EULA or mandatory consumer rights. The provider is responsible for the app and support; Apple handles App Store distribution and payment under the applicable Apple terms.

2. Free features and ArvoSky Plus

Free features include current weather, the available ten-day forecast including today, daily details, temperature/rain/wind graphs, saved places, and Earth and Map views. ArvoSky Plus adds global precipitation maps with a timeline, cloud-cover maps and minute precipitation estimates. No separate ArvoSky account is required.

The features actually offered and your chosen product are described in the app before purchase. Coverage, history and forecast horizons vary by source. Global precipitation maps include estimates and predictions, not a promise of universal ground-radar measurements. Cloud maps show available past and current imagery. Current data and Plus entitlement checks require an internet connection.

3. Prices, payment and renewal

ArvoSky Plus is planned as an auto-renewable monthly or annual subscription. German App Store prices are €2.99 per month or €24.99 per year, paid annually upfront. Availability, the local total price including applicable taxes, duration and renewal terms shown in Apple’s purchase sheet before confirmation govern your purchase.

Apple charges your Apple Account under the displayed purchase terms. Subscriptions automatically renew for the selected period unless cancelled in time. Manage renewal in Apple subscription settings. Cancel at least 24 hours before expiry to avoid another renewal. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Paid access generally continues until the paid period ends; refunds or revocations may end access earlier.

4. Free trial and restore

The annual subscription may include a seven-day introductory free trial for customers eligible under Apple’s rules. It becomes a paid annual subscription at the displayed price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Apple’s purchase sheet shows eligibility and the subsequent charge. The monthly subscription has no planned free trial. Cancelling a free trial early may end access immediately.

Verify existing purchases using the same Apple Account through “Restore purchases” in the app. TestFlight purchases are not charged and do not provide a paid production subscription.

5. Withdrawal, refunds and defects

Statutory withdrawal, warranty and other consumer rights are unaffected. Apple provides information at purchase about any applicable withdrawal right, its exercise and conditions under which it may lapse. Request refunds at reportaproblem.apple.com. Contact our support about technical defects.

6. Weather and safety

Forecasts can change, arrive late or be unavailable. Missing data are not an all-clear. Daily Signal and suggested outdoor windows are ArvoSky’s rule-based interpretations of Apple weather data, not safety assessments or official recommendations. Data labelled as samples are for previews, not actual forecasts. These notices do not limit mandatory liability or consumer rights.

7. Sources and permitted use

Point forecasts come from Apple Weather; global precipitation/cloud maps and minute precipitation from Rainbow; regional radar from the German Weather Service (DWD). Basemaps and satellite imagery use Apple Maps. Source credits and timestamps are shown in the app. More information: Apple Weather, Rainbow, DWD.

Use the app only as permitted. Do not bypass access controls or request limits, extract weather data in bulk, resell them as a feed or create a secondary weather database. Reverse engineering WeatherKit APIs or Apple weather data is prohibited except where mandatory law provides a non-excludable exception. Data providers retain their rights.

8. Availability, changes and liability

Technical problems, maintenance and data-source outages may temporarily affect features. Uninterrupted or meteorologically error-free service is not guaranteed. Statutory remedies for non-conforming services remain available. Paid features are changed only as legally permitted, respecting applicable notice, consent and termination rights.

Our liability is unlimited for intent, gross negligence and injury to life, body or health. For ordinary negligence, liability for breach of essential contractual duties is limited to foreseeable damage typical of the contract. Mandatory statutory liability, including product liability, and express guarantees remain unaffected.

9. Privacy, law and contact

Personal data processing is described in the Privacy policy. German law applies without depriving consumers of mandatory protections in their country of habitual residence. Statutory jurisdiction rules remain unaffected.
